HOMESCHOOLERS
When you homeschool, a large part of the college application falls to the parents. Whether you're coming to us at the beginning of high school or you're coming to us right before senior year - we have the inside knowledge and experience to help you, as the parent, write the pieces of the application in a way that reflects all the hard work your student put into their education.
We know every educational journey is unique - and so are the needs of homeschoolers. We have experience with getting homeschoolers into a variety of schools, and we have experience with a variety of types of transcripts. Whatever your journey has been - hybrid, unschooling, online school - we can help you pull it all together!
We understand homeschooling
Homeschooling parents come to us at all stages of their academic journey. Some parents come at the beginning of high school. Others come in September or October of senior year! No matter where you are - we can help you! If you are a homeschooler, and have signed up for a comprehensive package - homeschooling paperwork is included in the package.
RECORD KEEPING
One of the most important pieces of the homeschool applicant's common app starts with the records you keep. Regardless of whether you come to use early in your student's high school career, or right before application season - we have systems, suggestions and processes that are tried and true to help you make sure that when the time comes, your records are both organized and reflective of your student's journey.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Not every college needs course descriptions from homeschoolers, but a lot of schools prefer it and they sometimes can be a gateway to merit aid. However, creating course descriptions that are succinct, easy to understand, and highlight your student's academic achievements in a way that college admissions officers and scholarship committees understand can be a challenge. We can help.
THE SCHOOL PROFILE AND COUNSELOR LETTER
These two pieces are unique to homeschooled families and fall on the shoulders of the parents to complete. But there's no need to stress - we have decades of experience helping homeschooling parents craft these pieces.
ACADEMIC ADVISING AND UNIQUE SITUATIONS
No two paths are the same. Whether you schooled for half of high school and then homeschooled, need to explain a gap in your student's education, or even need to explain project-based learning, unschooling or some other alternative to a more traditional route - we can help with that too! We also help our homeschoolers with academic advising - showing you how to chart a path that will meet your goals.
