ACADEMIC ADVISING
What is academic advising? At Streamlined, academic advising can take a few different forms but regardless of which path you take - the end goal is the same:
an academic path that will help the student achieve their educational goals.
Students come to us for academic advising at any given point in their high school journey. Each advising session is unique and can look like executive function coaching for the student, helping plan high school classes for upcoming years or it can even look like mentoring for passion projects. You are in the driver's seat.
Academic advising that makes sense...
Each student's needs are unique and our approach to academic advising is equally unique. With expertise in curriculum development, learning design, educational psychology and executive function coaching - we weave together a program that helps your student get to where they want to go.
EF COACHING
If you are battling with your student to get things done academically, an executive function coach can help. At Streamlined, we work with students to establish good study patterns and organizational skills that will serve the student in college and beyond. Our focus is on working with strengths of the ADHD brain - not to 'fix' it.
COURSE PLANNING
Do you have to take 4 years of Spanish? Can you get away with 3 in science? What about that one elective you want to take that means you have to give up a seat in the calculus class. Course planning can help you answer these questions and align your course schedule with your goals. We can also help homeschooling students find curriculum, projects and more to plan out four years of study. Our focus is on helping students achieve their academic goals - no two journeys look the same!
PASSION PROJECT MENTORING
Sometimes students pick up an additional research or passion project outside of school and extracurriculars. We can help you organize, act as a sounding board, and even help you format your project in a way that can help admissions officers see what you've done and how it has impacted your community.
